Special Election for City Council District 3 on November 8, Qualification runs August 22 - August 24

 

 

CALL FOR SPECIAL ELECTION AND NOTICE OF QUALIFYING FEES AND DATES FOR THE NOVEMBER 8, 2022 SPECIAL ELECTION

 

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540, a Special Election shall be held in the City of Stonecrest to fill the vacancy in the Office of City Council District 3, caused by the resignation of District 3 representative Jazzmin Cobble.  

The Special Election will be held on November 8, 2022.

Qualifying for the November 8, 2022, Special Election shall be held at:

Stonecrest City Hall
3120 Stonecrest Boulevard
Stonecrest, GA 30038
Beginning Monday, August 22, 2022, and ending on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.  

Times for qualifying shall be: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday, and 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday

The qualifying fee shall be $450.00.

All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the Special Election may register to vote through the close of business on October 11, 2022. Early voting will be held October 17, 2022 through November 4, 2022.

Polls will open from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Election Day.

Should a runoff election be required, such runoff will be held on December 6, 2022.
