CourtConnect

We recognize that the court can be mysterious, and black robes can be intimidating. We want to break down those barriers through our Court and Communities engagement section. CourtConnect provides access to our court through community engagement, education, and events. We connect with our communities through presentations, in-person visits, and events which we host and attend. We talk to youth, civic groups, and legal organizations.

We pick the topic, or you pick the topic. Our goal is to improve the two-way conversation. We have as much to learn from you as you do from us.

Some previous topics have included:

  • Career Day with the Municipal Court
  • Connecting to the Courts: A Teacher’s Guide to the Municipal Court
  • What's Happening in Municipal Court?

To arrange for a speaker, please contact Chief Clerk Court To The Administrator Mallory Minor, via email at mminor@stonecrestga.gov or by phone at 470-727-0071.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Amnesty Day

Thursday, May 16, 2024 will mark the third-annual amnesty program! If a defendant has an outstanding failure to appear, bench warrant, or missed a court date in the City of Stonecrest, here’s their chance to clear things up. Court officials may waive or offer reduced fees for most non-traffic citations. However, previously adjudicated cases are not eligible for amnesty fee rates. The court will also allow signups for available sessions starting at 8:00 a.m. for same service. Individuals who wish to address penalties and warrants under this program are encouraged to sign up early.

For additional information or questions, please contact the Municipal Court Clerk's Office at courtinfo@stonecrestga.gov or 770-224-0210.
