Georgians are reminded to prepare for the impact of severe weather events.
Spring is traditionally a period where the threat of tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and lightning from severe thunderstorms greatly increases.
The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, in partnership with the National Weather Service, has distributed topics to help individuals address their preparedness, each day from February 6 through 10. Below is a list of topics:
Monday, Feb. 6 – Family Preparedness.
Tuesday, Feb. 7 – Thunderstorm Safety.
Wednesday, Feb. 8 – Tornado Safety.
Thursday, Feb. 9 – Lightning Safety.
Friday, Feb. 10 – Flood Safety.
