Hurricane Helene has caused severe damage throughout the city. Residents are strongly encouraged to stay off of the roads so first responders can have quicker access to clear blocked streets, fallen trees, downed power lines and attend to residents in need of emergency assistance.

- The South River bridge between Stonecrest and Rockdale County at Everett Park is closed.
- The Department of Transportation (DOT) has shut down Panola Road and Highway 155 (also known as Panola Shoals).
