City of Stonecrest Extends Closure Through Wednesday Due to Severe Weather

WHAT
Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Stonecrest will remain closed
on Wednesday due to continued inclement weather conditions. All
administrative buildings and operations will be suspended to prioritize the
safety of staff and residents. City officials will continue to provide updates
on weather conditions and operational changes via its official website and
social media channels.

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025
WHERE
Stonecrest City Hall, Browns Mill Recreation Center, and all city-owned parks will be closed.
WHY
Sub-freezing temperatures are expected to impact the roadways, our region remains under a cold weather advisory, and Gov. Brian Kemp has declared this weather event a state of emergency.
Residents are urged to:
- Avoid non-essential travel and stay indoors as much as possible.
- Protect exposed pipes and ensure homes are adequately heated.
